DAVID & MIRA EVANS Cotefield 19, Wicken Rd, Newport, Saffron Walden, Essex CB11 3QD Phone 01799 540235 [email protected] 05 March 2023 To whom it may Concern, Szvetlana Molnar (Lana) Lana joined the Evans household on the 6’th of February 2019. The family was at a very low ebb. Earlier that year our daughter had passed away after years of struggling with Cystic Fibrosis. My wife was in her second year of Alzheimer’s and other conditions including Arthritis and subject to unpredictable minor seizures. The latter caused a significant number of call-outs to the emergency services and a prolonged stay in hospital during which she lost her ability to walk. Her condition had declined to the extent that she was unable to look after herself and was barely able to communicate. Lana’s arrival had an immediate beneficial impact. Equipment was acquired through social services, the ground floor was rearranged to avoid the need for my wife to be manhandled upstairs and allow all her care needs to be safely carried out. Lana has been the mainstay of support for my wife over the last five years. She has been happy to take the major share of the assignments during that period often staying for several weeks. She is very knowledgeable about her duties, applies herself in a very caring way and copes well in the occasional crisis. I have great confidence in her. Lana has good communication skills and a high level of general knowledge. She is not a clock watcher but likes to keep to a regular routine. She has shown a good degree of flexibility which makes her a pleasant person to have about the house. I have a very high opinion of Lana as a person and as a carer of great ability and integrity. I am pleased to provide a strong recommendation of her abilities and hope that she will occasionally be available in the future to continue to care for my wife. Your sincerely, William D J Evans (Dr)

Lana and I first met in August 2016 when she came for three weeks to help me recuperate from an operation. My husband was already partially disabled and when he was diagnosed with dementia a year later I was delighted to welcome her back. She was a great help to me both in coming to terms with a difficult situation and in caring for my husband. With her help and energy I made the necessary changes to the house to allow for two live-in carers. She guided me through the intricacies of scheduling time off and holidays for our various carers, and encouraged and motivated both of us. We were sorry to see her go in October 2018 when she moved to another assignment. Lana is caring and compassionate, she is a hard worker, and I believe her to be completely honest and trustworthy.
